Josie Moore
I've been interested in art since I can remember. I have always loved the different ways of expression throughout all medias of art. In high school I was in multiple art classes such as, photography, AP (Advanced Placement) Art, ceramics, dark room, graphic design, etc. When it came to college, I took a different direction. After I'd spent my entire senior year collecting images for my AP portfolio, sending them out, and then finally getting my results back, I decided to go to Tech school for Auto Body and Collision repair.. random right? I wanted to focus on painting cars and challenging my art skills to an extreme. I loved working on cars, and had the time of my life in college. I gained a lot of knowledge that I will have for the rest of my life, but, I shortly realized that not only was I not as passionate about working on cars and I was about photography, but the market for auto body jobs is terrible. So I've gone back to my roots and chosen to focus on photography. Which of course enlightened all my art teachers from high school!
Acknowledgments:
I wouldn't be able to take full credit for my art skills, I've had a lot of help gaining what skills I have today.
My senior art teacher in particular, Mrs. Johnson made sure I worked extremely hard everyday of school and pushed me until that diploma was in my hands. She continues to enter my work in any art show she manages. I owe her a lot for taking concern in my work and getting me where I am today. Even if I'm not in magazines and papers, I have so much to be thankful for and I owe it all to her. Thank you Mrs. J!
"Crit Happens"
My mother, Michele, for being ever so persistent in anything I've ever done. Being equally patient with me and my choices as a teen and young adult. I owe you endless amounts of love. I would be no one without my mother and I definitely wouldn't be anywhere this close to my dreams without her.
A special someone, who may not be in my life at the moment but I do owe him a great amount of thanks. For being understanding in my dreams. For wanting it for me as bad as I did. You were my first love, the first person who showed me what love feels like. May all your dreams and wishes come true, I wish the best for you.. even if it's not with me. You know who you are.
